I have now been working with pleasure in the optics industry for 24 years, of which 12 years as owner, together with my wife Chantal, of Ponsioen Optics. We started the store on November 27, 2010.

My passion lies mainly in eye measurement, to achieve the highest possible visual acuity. Binocular tests and prism measurements are also part of this. In addition, I enjoy advising and measuring frames and contact lenses and reducing myopia (myopia management). I am also a practical trainer for future Opticians and Contact Lens Specialists.

After completing all courses and many years of optical experience, it was time for a new challenge. This became its own store, Ponsioen Optiek. Our dream came true!

My passion is promoting the optics profession exactly as we envision it! From eye measurement to fitting glasses with the possibility of complete make-up style advice. But also the technical aspect in the workshop where the glasses are made.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seven years ago I started at Ponsioen Optiek as a sales assistant. I found the work so interesting that I became very curious about the profession of Optician. I am now a qualified Optician and Contact Lens Specialist.

My passion is grinding the glasses in the workshop, especially with children's glasses. I really enjoy grinding the glasses together with the children. Always super fun when another Optician Assistant joins Ponsioen Optiek. I also enjoy fitting contact lenses and myopia management.

The friendly atmosphere of the store, the collections and the friendly team make working at Ponsioen Optiek very pleasant. The many special brands make it very nice to advise customers in choosing the perfect glasses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After years of service in the jewelry industry, I switched to Ponsioen Optics in 2015. I was looking for a new challenge and I found it!

Advising people on choosing new glasses is fun and is not very far from my previous job, in which I helped people choose jewelry. After all, glasses are a jewel in the face. My passion for fashion and art is reflected in my choice of frames. My favorite brand is Lamarca Eyewear. These frames are of very high quality and have special prints and beautiful colors.
